Hello and welcome to Nurse Kaly!
Welcome! I’m Nurse Kaly, and I’m passionate about equipping teens and young adults with the skills and mindset they need to thrive. My journey began at age 8 when my family immigrated to New York. Growing up in a bustling household with many siblings, I found solace in my own curiosity, often getting lost in my thoughts amidst the chaos. I was a defiant little spirit, and that same spirit is what drives my passion projects today.
A Career Shaped by Experience
With a B.S. in Health and Exercise Science from Skidmore College and a nursing degree, I became a bedside nurse in one of New York’s largest healthcare systems in 2016. My career spanned across different specialties in the hospital, and I stood on the frontlines during the COVID-19 pandemic, becoming forever changed after witnessing firsthand the devastating unpredictability and fragility of life. It was these experiences—both humbling and transformative—that brought the Nurse Kaly mission to life.
Mission: Confidence, Growth, and Authentic Living
At the heart of what I do is the belief that every person deserves the tools to unlock their unique potential. Through self-discovery, skills development, and mindset cultivation, I hope to encourage teens to dream courageously and dare to live authentically. Authenticity is our greatest gift to ourselves and to the world.
Life is fleeting, and everyone deserves the chance of freedom to pursue what truly matters and still thrive—whether that’s travel, caregiving, creative expression, or simply living life on their own terms. My work is dedicated to helping young people discover and tap into the beauty that already lives inside of them and give them the tools to bring that art to life.
Looking Ahead: Our vision
Our long-term vision is to establish a skills development center—a space where teens and young adults can discover and hone their passions, develop skills, build resilience, and grow. A place that is supportive and engaging that fosters confidence, growth, camaraderie, and global citizenship. This is the vision that guides the Nurse Kaly projects of today.
